Our decisions
The Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works operates within a corporate governance framework to ensure we meet our strategic objectives and maximise the cost-effective delivery of services.
The Executive Leadership Team (ELT) is our principal governing body. The ELT supports the Director-General to meet our legislative requirements and accountabilities. The ELT is supported by our governance committees. These committees meet regularly to manage and monitor business activities, priorities and performance. They report to the Director-General and provide regular updates to the ELT.
Departmental officers are required to adhere to the Code of Conduct for the Queensland Public Service. The code requires officers to act with integrity, professionalism and respect when performing their duties.
Refer to our annual reports for more information about our governance structure.
Consultations
We like to get feedback to help us make policy decisions that benefit the community, industry and key stakeholders. Our consultations aim to target specific issues, and will usually run for a few weeks.
Information on consultations that are currently open for public submission are available from the Queensland Government’s Get Involved website.
