National and state housing agreements and reports
Australian Government funding to the states and territories is subject to the:
Social housing and homelessness funding is provided under the National Agreement on Social Housing and Homelessness (NASHH).
From 1 July 2024, the NASHH replaced the National Housing and Homelessness Agreement (NHHA).
Under the NHHA, Queensland received funding of around $1.99 billion over 6 years to 2023–24.
Queensland will implement the NASHH through:
- Homes for Queenslanders
- Our Place: A First Nations Housing and Homelessness Roadmap to 2031
- Our Place: A First Nations Housing and Homelessness Action Plan 2024-2027.
Reporting on the NASHH will be publicly available by 31 December of the following financial year or a later date agreed by the Commonwealth and Queensland.

Queensland also received:
- $398.3 million under the Social Housing Accelerator payment to deliver additional social housing stock
- $199.2 million under the Housing Support Program Priority Works Stream to deliver additional social housing stock and enabling infrastructure.
