Our Brisbane critical response team has helped more than 750 people into housing since it was created in 2023. This team has been supported in partnership with the Streets for Homes team by Micah Projects.

Critical response teams regularly visit people who are experiencing homelessness and offer support to help them find accommodation that suits their needs.

We want to bring critical response teams to every region of Queensland so we can help more people find rapid support if they’re experiencing or at risk of homelessness. We’ve already created new teams in Bundaberg, Central Queensland, and Toowoomba, where they’ve started to help vulnerable people find longer-term accommodation.

This is just one of the ways we’re working towards ending homelessness as part of our Homes for Queenslanders plan.
