We’ve welcomed social housing tenants into 2 new homes in Charleville!

Harold, one of the tenants living in the new units, was excited about the move.

'I’ve been couch-surfing and staying with family for some time now. I’m over the moon to have this brand-new stable home,' he says.

The dual-occupancy social housing units were constructed in partnership with the Queensland Government and Gecko Builders and Concreters Charleville.

These social homes, along with the upgrades to Murweh Shire Council’s camp accommodation facilities, were funded through the Works for Queensland program.

As part of our Homes for Queenslanders plan, we aim to deliver 53,500 additional social homes by 2046.
