Northern Chemicals is a locally-owned and operated brand of chemical products unique to Far North Queensland, manufacturing and supplying to all levels government as well as marine, aviation, agriculture and hospitality industries.
At the height of the pandemic, Northern Chemicals supplied local markets with hand sanitising, surface sanitiser and disinfectant as well as personal and protective equipment (PPE) like gloves, goggles and masks.
“From the onset of COVID-19 we realised the importance of our business to the local community,” said Susan Cooper, Sales Director.
“Many people were not able to buy the PPE products at the local supermarket or other suppliers as their stocks depleted very quickly. As a manufacturer we were able to increase our production to meet demand.
“There were many health-related businesses that relied on our products, and we feel we were able to make a difference by supplying product when others couldn’t.
