Leeson Valuers
Established in 1985, Leeson Valuers is 100% Queensland-owned and specialises in residential, commercial, industrial and plant and machinery valuations.
They ‘put Queenslanders first’ by providing quality job opportunities for mature-aged apprentices and assisting the Queensland Department of Housing to better serve local communities by enabling access to affordable housing while astutely managing taxpayer money.
Director, John Leeson said that the Queensland Government, "through its Procurement Strategy, ensures informed decisions are made about how Government funds are used to achieve more positive outcomes on behalf of taxpayers".
“Since April 2021, through our work with the Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy we have helped the Queensland Government achieve that, while also changing the lives of 52 Queensland families.
“This has helped these families access home-ownership for the first time and break the cycle of precarious living.” As the number of valuations provided by Leeson Valuers has increased drastically, the company has expanded its workforce with Queensland workers – often mature-aged apprentices.
“The sector today is still very male dominated,” Mr Leeson said.
“We like to hire female valuers, as well as males, to add to our diverse team and create trust-based relationships with our female clients.
“During sometimes emotionally charged situations for our clients, we are able to help reduce the stress surrounding the sale of their most valuable asset.
“We believe the best team is a trusting team which can rely on each other. We work as a united front, supporting one another to achieve our goals and reach our full potential.”
