Putting Queensland jobs first

Game Clothing’s passion for the sportswear industry goes hand-in-hand with its commitment to creating quality jobs for Queenslanders.

The Australian-owned brand has supplied to Queensland schools for over 10 years, manufacturing all its garments from the warehouse in North Brisbane.

“While we understand the financial benefits of shifting our manufacturing offshore, we have no interest in it,” said Mellissa Pashen, Director.

“We receive requests from overseas manufacturers every day, offering cheaper prices and quicker manufacturing timeframes, however, nothing compares to the work of a hard-working Queenslander.

“The pride and satisfaction our employees feel when they work together as a team to produce our gear is irreplaceable.”

Since April 2022, Game Clothing has created 10 new employment opportunities for Queenslanders, prioritising the development of the local workforce by offering training and employment to people with no prior experience.

“Over the last two and a half years it has been crucial for us to maintain job and financial stability for our staff and families,” said Mellissa Pashen, Director.

“We are one of only a few sportswear manufacturers with in-house processes for all our departments here in Queensland, providing local jobs including administration and customer service, design and print, manufacturing preparation, sublimators, sewing seamstress, quality control and dispatch.

“Our strong relationship with local schools has created many opportunities for us to host their students in our warehouse.

“We believe in educating the future taxpayers and employees on the importance of putting Queenslanders first, right from the beginning, ensuring a concrete future for all local Queensland businesses.”
