Reducing environmental contamination
MPC Kinetic are a Queensland-based market leader in the installation of large-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) and renewable energy networks for the world’s leading utility and energy companies.
MPC Kinetic have been working with the Department of Resources in safe and effective abandonment of 42 complex wellbores across the Hopeland Energy site outside of Chinchilla and are currently planning installation of an additional 55 wells across the Bloodwood Creek site.
“We are proud to play a role in the successful abandonment of these wellbores in an effort to give back to the community and ensure the potential for further environmental contamination is minimised,” said Eastern Australian Area Manager, Chris Johns.
“We have collaborated at length with the Department of Resources along with local suppliers to reduce running costs of the operation, seeking continuous improvements around efficiency and performance and in turn reducing the overall cost to the Queensland Government and Queensland taxpayers.”
